Step::2 Click over ConfigServer Security & Firewall
Step::3 Now click on Firewall Configuration tab in CSF
Step::4 Next click on the drop down menu and choose Process Tracking
Step::5 Set here various parameters like PT_LOAD, PT_LOAD_AVG, PT_LOAD_LEVEL, PT_LOAD_SKIP
Step::6 Before setting the limits, we should first understand the basic concept of load averages. You can check your server’s one-minute, five-minutes & 15-minutes load averages at the top right corner of the WHM Dashboard.
Step::7 So now if you want to get alert whenever this value gets higher then first set the PT_LOAD. This options is used to check the server load at the specified value. You can set this value from [0-3600]. Here we are setting this to 30 seconds which means it will check server’s load after every 30 seconds. You can adjust the value as per your requirement.
Step::8 Now go to the next option i.e PT_LOAD_AVG. This option is to check the PT_LOAD_AVG minute Load Average (can be set to 1-minute, 5 minutes or 15 minutes). This depends on you whether you would like to check server’s load average of 1-minute, 5 minutes or 15 minutes. Here we setting this value to 5.
Step::9 In the same way PT_LOAD_LEVEL option is used when the load average is greater than or equal to PT_LOAD_LEVEL then an email alert is sent.
Step::10 The last option is PT_LOAD_SKIP which is used to prevent email flooding. Here we are setting these to 3600 which means till the specified time even if the load is high it will now send you repeat notifications. seconds has passed to prevent email floods. Finally click over Change button.
